Tiered and True

August 4, 2016

A trend seen all over the Resort 2017 runways, tiered dresses are the ultimate feminine staple this summer. Nothing says true romance like an airy, ruffled dress. Perfect for a wedding or cocktail party, you are sure to be a walking mid-summer night’s dream in this elegant silhouette. Dress it up with heels and layered necklaces for a glamorous and vintage look. Long strands of pearls and an up-do will complete the look. For a casual backyard soirée, wear your dress with metallic sandals, and style with a wicker basket or clutch. Loose waves or a low bun make for an effortless, picnic- chic look. For more petite body-types, a full-length tiered dress might overwhelm your frame. Instead, opt for a tiered top, a la Tory Burch. Pair with jeans or a fitted skirt for a flattering way to register the trend. Make sure to find a dance-floor wherever your tiered dress may take you, as there is no clothing more twirl-friendly.

Fashion and styling isn’t about expensive designers or the . . .
