Statement Earrings- Trend Recap

September 23, 2016

Create an unique look with a pair of statement earrings. Dramatic “danglies” were seen all over the Spring/Summer 2017 Runways at New York and London Fashion Week. Intricate, shiny, delicate and sturdy- designers showcased all different types to compliment their outfits. These mini pieces of art can dress up any look or add that necessary dose of glamour to an otherwise casual look. Spice up your jeans and t-shirt uniform with a pair or statement earrings. Go from a day of chores and laundry to lunch with friends by throwing on a pair with your sundress. This juxtaposition between informal and dressy feels effortlessly cool and fresh. Try a bare face- as your earrings shining and dancing on the sides of your head will only highlight your natural beauty. Delpozo took earrings to new exciting lengths with never-been-seen before bold, neon versions that hit the shoulder. These are the perfect combination of feminine and modern. Proenza opted for geometric silhouettes. The statement earrings shown on their runway were reminiscent of hanging mobile art, as they lightly flapped and swayed on their hinges. Easy to wear and typically affordable, this new wave of “costume jewelry” is completely viable to add to your everyday wardrobe.
