Alexandra Munzel is an international fashion stylist, wardrobe rehabilitator, and image expert based out of Charleston, South Carolina. She has over a decade of styling experience working with print, TV and big screen media.

Alexandra’s expertise in fashion has landed her coveted spreads for magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, and Charleston Style & Design.  Prior to settling in South Carolina, Alexandra worked alongside celebrity stylists such as Rachel Zoe and Phillip Bloch for red carpet events including the Oscars and the Golden Globes.

All That Shines: Sequin Jackets

 Sometimes, it’s fun to make a statement. Jackets adorned with sequins, tinsel and paillettes will help you do just that. If those words bring a negative image to mind of a shoulder-padded version from the 1980’s, think again. Recent runways have showcased sequin jackets that are glamorous, intricate and extraordinary in terms of workmanship. For a direct runway take-down look, pair a sequin jacket over a printed dress or even better, a matching pajama set. Not for the fashion-shy, this combination feels elevated and on trend. A cropped black sequin jacket is a perfect way to cover up an all black LBD or date-night outfit. Dress your sequin jacket down by pairing it with boyfriend jeans and a white t-shirt. This juxtaposition between high and low fashion is exactly what is happening in the marketplace right now, and feels very street-style chic.
