On the Style Hunt: Hunter Green

November 7, 2016

Hunting for great style this fall? Search no further and add a piece of Hunter Green clothing to your wardrobe. Wearable, versatile and on-trend, Hunter Green should be on your next shopping list. Like a neutral or black, this color is timeless- and always relevant. In most cases, it can be treated just like one of those basic colors, and looks best when paired with other “earthy” tones. A cashmere sweater in the color paired with beige trousers and block-heeled loafers is understatedly chic, and an easy work outfit. Slacks in Hunter Green a la Philip Lim are a refreshing change from your standard black work pants. Try pairing yours with mustard yellow (another trending color) to create the ultimate fall palette. Although historically shown in tailored, classic iterations, in recent seasons Designers have been utilizing the color on more interesting and adventurous silhouettes. Coach applied Hunter Green to the ever-popular bomber jacket, styled with black leather pants for a cool, street-style-approved look. Not for the fashion-shy, Rochas took a leap of faith and introduced a long-haired fur coat, which will no doubt turn heads (while keeping the wearer extremely warm). Whether you are a “downtown” or “uptown” type of woman, Hunter Green is a color not to be missed.

Styling

Don’t fear your closet, embrace it! Let’s face it, for many of us fashion feels like a never-ending tide of chic looks, must-have handbags, jaw-dropping shoes and bold accessories. Keeping up with trends is expensive, knowing how to work with the clothes you already own seems tricky, and dressing to cover your perceived flaws feels like an exercise in futility. Not any longer. Fashion and styling isn’t about expensive designers or the . . .
