Alexandra Munzel is an international fashion stylist, wardrobe rehabilitator, and image expert based out of Charleston, South Carolina. She has over a decade of styling experience working with print, TV and big screen media.

Alexandra’s expertise in fashion has landed her coveted spreads for magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, and Charleston Style & Design.  Prior to settling in South Carolina, Alexandra worked alongside celebrity stylists such as Rachel Zoe and Phillip Bloch for red carpet events including the Oscars and the Golden Globes.

FUR FRENZY

Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but our fur is so delightful! Stay warm this winter in a furry (faux or not) coat. There is no wrong time to invest because fur is timeless; it never goes out of style. Fur has a consistent runway presence year after year. From Margaux Tenanbaum to Carrie Bradshaw, the style is iconic and undoubtedly chic. Whether it’s a classic mink, neutral, or something a little more “conversational” like printed or painted fur, there is an iteration right for every fashionista out there. Nothing says “luxe” quite like bundling yourself in a fuzzy coat. Depending on the cut, length, and color, these coats can take on multiple different personalities. Go “rocker cool” in a statement piece like Saint Laurent’s padded shoulder coat pictured below (but hurry- there were only a couple of these made!). Create the ultimate Granny-chic vibe in a calf-hitting version with a large collar. Complete this look with loafers and a mini dress, and perhaps some fishnet stockings if you are really feeling trendy. Animal lover? Faux versions exist of every style imaginable by brands like Shrimps or Stella McCartney. Fashionable and functional (in cold weather) a fur or faux coat will be your best friend this winter season.
