The Statement Sleeve

March 3, 2017

If you’re looking to make a fashion statement this season, finding for the perfect sleeve is the answer. The line-up is extensive and any style will fit the trend. So whether you prefer the Bell, the Bishop, the Ruffle, the Flounce, the Extra-Long, the Layered, or the Balloon, your sleeve is sure to make a statement.  Go for a more modern twist on the enhanced sleeve by choosing a thicker, more structured fabric a la Delpozo style.  Keep the rest of your look neutral or monochromatic to give yourself a chic and sleek vibe.  In more of a sophisticated mood?  Look for tops and dresses done in a silk or satin iteration.  The flow of this sleeve will be more feminine and soft, perfected by designer label Roksanda. Or better yet, spice things up with a sheer balloon sleeve finished in chiffon or lace.  You don’t have to wait for a black  tie affair to pull off this look. Tibi‘s spring/summer collection highlights how the statement sleeve can be worn in a casual settings, too.  So don’t keep this trend at arm’s length.
