Alexandra Munzel is an international fashion stylist, wardrobe rehabilitator, and image expert based out of Charleston, South Carolina. She has over a decade of styling experience working with print, TV and big screen media.

Alexandra’s expertise in fashion has landed her coveted spreads for magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, and Charleston Style & Design.  Prior to settling in South Carolina, Alexandra worked alongside celebrity stylists such as Rachel Zoe and Phillip Bloch for red carpet events including the Oscars and the Golden Globes.

Have You Updated Your Oxford?

When is the last time you updated your oxford? We’ve seen a new take on the oxford everywhere this spring and there is no shortage of style nor design. The oxford shirt is no longer solely suited for the conservative dresser.  The traditional, simple button down with a crisp collar can partner with your corporate suiting but new renditions of this classic piece are now the rage.  The bigger the sleeve, the better the oxford as far as we are concerned.  An oversize-bell sleeve in a traditional cotton pinstripe is the perfect transition piece from season to season.  Keep the look casual by pairing the top with your favorite pair of distressed jeans and a flatform shoe.  Looking to dress up this look?  Go for a silk or satin fabrication in a midi-dress.  Perhaps you have a tailored oxford you covet?  Update the look by layering it over with a crop top, a la Prada, and finish with an A-line short or gaucho. Need to keep the look appropriate for the office?  Go for a flutter sleeve oxford tucked into a high-waist, plaid, full pant.  Whatever your dress requirements, there is an updated oxford out there for you.
