High Necks, High Fashion

October 26, 2016

High Necks or “Mock Necks” are a chic way to cover up as the temperature drops. Turtlenecks have always been a cold weather staple for comfortable, minimalistic dressing. They are the ultimate easy throw-on and classic layering piece under a sweater, tucked into a skirt, or styled with a blazer as a blouse alternative. However, designers have translated high-necks into more exciting, less typical fashion in recent runway shoes. High necks look elevated but sexy when in a novelty fabrication like lace, silk or chiffon, and in bold, saturated colors. Style a high neck top or blouse with your hair in an up-do or low ponytail. Add statement earrings to further define your jawline and highlight your neck. Look elegant yet prepared to face a winter chill with this piece in your wardrobe. Check out some of my favorite looks below!
