Feeling that summertime sadness because you haven’t worn 90% of your warm-weather wardrobe, and yet, Labor Day has already come and gone? If you are mentally ready, or not, to move into fall, hang tight because the weather is not rushing into crisp, cool days just yet. The time is now to sport that poor, forgotten dress, skirt, or shorts that received zero air-time this summer. Choose a tie-dye dress a la Tory Burch, and rebel against those who have traded in their bright colors and prints for a more subdued palette. Stand out in a high-volume shirt and skirt combination a la Peter Pilotto. Now is your last chance of the year to go bold with airy, feminine proportions. Transitional dressing is also an option by combining summer separates and fall basics. Tailored trousers in soft neutrals compliment any floral, striped, or whimsical-patterned top. Add sandals or slides (sure to be a huge trend of Summer 2017) to keep your look playful and casual. When the weather does inevitably take a turn for the cooler, take note of the summer pieces you did not incorporate into your wardrobe. Those are the ones to consider re-selling or donating, to make-way for next seasons’ must-haves!
